Poetry: Friends

Should I love,

Should I trust,

A mere, human being?

O my lord,

It’s so hard

Please O please, guide me.

How am I, supposed to know

Who’s sincere, with me?

Humans are, such crafty beings.

They hurt and inflict, agonizing wounds.

Lord O lord

Is it my fault,

That I am such a simple thing?

Please O please

Fill their hearts, with your love.

And affection for, one another

Make my friends, honest and kind

Just like my beloved family

After all, we’re but, a single brotherhood

And I’m sure you’ll accept my prayer

‘Cause it’s completely unselfish
